Employment Opportunites Broadcast Sales Account Exec. Position - WYDC JOB DESCRIPTION Create, Develop, Service Accounts - Cold calling on phone and in person (Minimum of 15) - Monitoring other stations and mediums for potential clients - Gathering information on the clients needs - Developing advertising strategies, plans, and commercials. - Doing presentations of strategies, plans, and ideas - Scheduling shoots and commercials on-air. - Type scripts for commercials (help is available here) - Relating clients’ needs, wishes and desires to the production department. - showing the commercial to the client to get approval for air. - making sure commercial gets on the air - Explaining invoices to clients - Collecting money for advertising - Developing long-term strategies and clients. - Creating sales packages (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Etc.) - Filling out sales reports and paperwork. - Forecasting of sales revenues. - Attending sales meeting 2 times a week. - Attending training seminars occasionally. Hours - 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday - Legal holidays off - Staffing occasionally at night or weekend event Requirements - Dependable transportation - Organizational skills - Positive mental attitude - Self-motivation - Ability to meet goals and budgets Payscale - Based on experience - Guarantee for 3-6 months - Then draw against commission after 3-6 months - 1 weeks paid vacation after 1 year (based on average pay for previous year) - Limited expense reimbursement for cell phone and gas - No other benefits at this time WYDC is an equal opportunity employer Contact: Jared Lampman (607) 937-5000 jlampman@wydctv.com |
